Got back from FITP (Fiesta in the Park) and gave the car a really good wash, polish and wax before putting it away.

Some beeding from when I waxed it.

Got the bits of dash back from the painter.

Got my black and white ford badge.

Lights in the 6x9s all the interiors lights changed to White LEDs as well as the side lights but getting some brighter side light as they are  a little dim through the smoked lens.

HID kit that was fun to fit, also made a set fit the fogs as well, so now I can blind people that cut me up.

Got some pictures on the air bushed box may put them on, it not finished yet though.

The seats are back, I am really pleased with them, I was a little worried the Sparco Tourino 2 seats wouldn’t look right, they nearly the same shape as the Sparco FRP seats, well there is only one minor difference I can see.

Put the speaker grills on and finished wiring up the LEDs in the speaker Pods

Forgot to pick up some top hats so there is a big gap between rear mounting, struggling to find any so I may have to make something.

No up date for a while as I am waiting for the boot build to be airbrushed, in the meantime I have been sorting things out like MOT, speaking to a trimming company to get the seats re-trimmed and trimming other parts of the interior too, and sub box, that is not on show, has been painted black.

Door cards have come back from the trimmer so have look below.

New run of 16 AWG cable going into the doors for the 6×9’s.

Changed all interior bulbs to white LEDs, looks pretty good and alot more modern.

Everything has it’s own fuse now and separate relays just for the audio.

Audio Control Matrix and Epicenter are built into the floor

Alpine Freeview TV Tuner under the drivers seat

Mass of cables to be wired up to the boot build.

Dash Surround heater controls have all been sent away with the boot built and 6×9 surrounds for the “finish”

Fibre Glass is starting to take shape.

Power Caps in place, they being painted a different colour to match the rest of the car.

Start of the Door Builds

The start of the boot build, the amps just fit side by side, with a little modification.

Lots of sound deadening going in.

Start of the box, each sub with have it’s own air space.

Mike and Ant deciding on the size of the port.

Bracing and ports being built.

Bracing will help break up the air inside the box.

Inverted Subs, they mounted that way mainly for looks, it will make no difference to the sound and because most of the speakers is out side the box, there is very little if any displacement, if any so you can use a smaller box.

Let the fibre glass flow.

So went down to K & M Acoustics and decided what I am doing with there audio side of things and the conclusion was the following.

3x PA BB 10″ Subwoofer
2x PA RX4004 Amps
4x PA BB 6X9 Speakers
Alpine 105 DVD Screen
Alpine Freeview
Alpine Phone Kit
Audio Control Matrix
Audio Control Epicenter
2x  Two Farad Power Caps
All in a large ported boxed with a fibre glassed surround.

Right the car is all painted and ready for the interior to start on Monday.

It’s been a while since I updated this thread, so here is car is almost finished prep, ready to be painted

Getting ready for paint.

Nearly there.

Right Nearly time for the for the next phase.
Just needs the bonnet going back on, the suspension fitting and wheels swapping over.
Though the old lights didn’t look quite right.

So swapped them out for some ultra’s.

Not sure what i am going to do with the rear lights let?

Wheels are back from the powder coater, very happy with them.

Put in storage (a cupboard) until the car is nearly finished.

Just a few layers of polish on them first, to try and make them easy to clean and keep clean.

Will be washing the whole car using the 2 bucket method and different bucket and wash mitt for the wheels and bottom of the lower sills.
